WARNIING!Motown Block Didn't pass the test. I purchased a brand new Motown Block through Storm Speed out in IOWA, I believe they are now out of business. Storm Speed assured me, like Bill Mitchell assures his web page viewers, this block would perform. It did for about 50 races.(The above claims from Mitchell web site were viewed and printed out Prior to Aug.22,2003. They may have since "Revised" their claims and site.) The engine was never turned above 7200 RPM, I have a rev limiter. When I e-mailed Bill Mitchell about their Block, they said I had the wrong application, even though their site states, the nodular caps are stronger than Billet caps. I printed it out just to make certain that what I was reading was correct. Anyway, they would not stand behind their claims, but they did offer to sell me the billet Capped block for the nodular price. Now why would I take a chance on what I consider to be another piece of junk! Over $10,000 worth of engine was trashed because of there Motown Block FAILURE! That is the best they can do? Before purchasing this block I would consider a close look at the pictures above. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have, just drop me an E-Mail. The purpose of this warning of the Motown Block is not to liable or harm Bill Mitchell or any other seller of the Motown, I mearly stated what had happened in my experience with this product. I am sure they will tell of numerous success stories accomplished by using this block but I know they did nothing to restore my faith in the Motown Block. I believe my next block will be the DART Block.
